Pharmacotherapy has Dangerous Side Effects

Zyban: Serious risk for neuropsychiatric symptoms, behavioral changes, agitation, hostility, depression, suicidal thinking and behavior, attempted suicide, insomnia, rhinitis, dry mouth, dizziness, nausea, disrupted concentration, constipation, anxiety, dream abnormality, arthralgia, myalgia, diarrhea and rash. Drug interactions: Use extreme caution with antipsychotics, theophylline, systemic corticosteroids. Central Nervous System Toxicity with Levodopa or Amantadine. Avoid using alcohol, benzodiazepines, sedatives or opiates.

Chantix: Possible alcohol reactions, such as unusual aggressive behavior with no memory or recollection, rare risk of seizures with no history, changes in mood, behavior, and thinking, with possible physical and/or mental impairment, headache, insomnia, abnormal dreams, sleep disorder, flatulence, constipation, fatigue, upper respiratory problems, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, dry mouth, hypersensitivity reactions and sleepiness. Drug interactions: theophylline, warfarin, insulin, transdermal nicotine will increase adverse effects. Alcohol toxicity is increased.

Chantix suicide risk

Nicorette Gum/Lozenges: Caution with stomach ulcer, diabetes, and sodium-restricted diets. Associated risks include: increased blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, palpitations, nicotine overdose, dizziness, weakness, rapid heartbeat, breathing difficulties and rash.
